Thank you so much for this inspiring tutorial! Years ago, when I realized I could not afford an antique feather tree, I purchased a 3ft. handmade one. I always wanted to know how they were made. Now, being really into making spun cotton ornaments, of course, I need more trees!😁🎄 Loved seeing the process!👏

Absolutely MESMERIZING 😮 I want to make one SO BAD, however, my arthritic hands (and short temper LOL) tell me no! Your teaching skill is VERY VERY good too! Definitely new subscriber!

Yes this is a hand-cramp project - lots of grasping and repetition. 😅

Your feather tree is beautiful! Do you know how to add berries to a feather tree that is missing some berries?
@SmileMercantile27 күн бұрын
If the feather is still attached I think I would use a fine wire, 30 gauge, to wrap on a new berry stem. Zebra jewelers wire comes in a couple shades of green that might blend in pretty well.
@ScotlandYarn27 күн бұрын
@ Thank you, I did not think of that method. I really appreciate your reply 😀

How many stems for that size tree. Do we need more than one pkg of the goose feathers or will we have some left for next tree.
@SmileMercantile29 күн бұрын
22 stems per tree. One pack of 75 feathers is enough to do a tree with some spares. You can also save your scraps- they can be used, they just don't cover as much length as a full feather.
