How to Make a Flower Hat Design using Cayenne Red, Pink Flowers and Eucalyptus

To continue our Colorstrology series, this week Debbie is demonstrating how to make a flower hat box using different types of flowers and Eucalyptus foliage using a Cayenne Red colour palette.
You will need:
- Rose Spray Mirabel
- Rose Sweet Avalanche
- Germini Spider Larsson
- Eucalyptus Cinerea
- Hat Box
- Floral Foam
- Anchor Tape
- Scisors

Beautiful, I would like to know the placement of the foam. Who you place it. Did you place the wet foam in top of other dry foam

The foam is wet foam placed into a cellophane line box and secured with the anchor tape across. No extra dry foam was required for this design. Many thanks for watching

Ah, and the sweet avalanche too... I’m guessing it’s to get a grater water supply up the stems. Something I’ve never done but think I will start.

Absolutely! Cutting up the stem allows more surface area for the flower to take up water, you can do this with most types of flower varieties especially if they have a woody stem i.e. Hydrangea when adding into floral foam. I hope this helps

Thank you for watching. Yes, we simply use the wet floral foam in the box. In terms of keeping the arrangement fresh, you can water the design by lifting the lid, adding the water within the cellophane liner in suitable environment or spray with a water mister. You could also use Chrystal professional glory. Many thanks

They are plant canes, you can typically source through hobby craft shops, online wholesale, garden centres or even Amazon / eBay.
