Thank you for a great video! My grandaughter is expecting twin (identical !) girls, and I ordered a mold like this, unfortunately it seems like the mold won't be in on time for me to use it at the shower!! However, I'm sure I can use it another time. You make it look so easy, but any tips on getting a baby with it's head and all its limbs attached? How long do you leave the fondant in the mold, and can you keep the baby as is? Looking forward to checking out other videos of yours, so easy to follow these instructions! Thank you!! It would be nice to have list of the items needed to complete this, so I could print it off.

What a wonderful news you must be so excited to see the little babies. I am sorry the mould won't make it there on time. I believe you will find other ways you can use the mould it is truly is an amazing mould. Setting it in the fridge is what helps it keep its shape when you remove it, Leaving it in the fridge for 20 to 30 minute. In the description underneath the video, you can find out what tools and products I use. I hope this helps and thank you so much for watching my videos and enjoy them, babies :)

if you have an event for next week or so can you make these babies a week later? How do you store them? How much of life do they have before you can use them for something? If that makes since
@AnnikasCakeTutorials7 жыл бұрын
Hey Natasha Yes you can make fondant decorations and sugar babies in advance. Just make sure to dry them out and after that you can store them in a airtight container. I hope this helps if you have more question be sure to leave me a massage. again :)

After freezing them. Do you let them dry out before working with them? Mine always seem to sweat after I take them out.
@AnnikasCakeTutorials6 жыл бұрын
Hey janiel, I do remove them as soon as they are firm. It is the humidity that is causing the fondant to sweat. So if you have an air conditioner, or a room dehumidifier even a small fan can prevent fondant from sweating. There is even times when i have use the kitchen fan, place the cake under the kitchen fan and leave it on for a few minutes. I hope this helps :)

Thank that does help with some of my issues. But also The fondant baby sweats after I take it out of the freezer and begins to lose some of its shape. Is there a step that I am missing? Or does the same technique apply?
@AnnikasCakeTutorials6 жыл бұрын
Your welcome, fridge would be your best bet frezzer would create more sweating on the fondant. I know humidity is though one, vancouver is rain forest so the struggle is real. The fan is going to be your best option to control the humidity. I really hope it works out, please let me know if you need any more help :)
