Just found you channel and have been skimming through. So much great info!! You have inspired me to create bonsai to a young pine in my front yard. It’s about 4 ft tall. I figured I’d shape it and it would be a pretty view in the neighborhood if I don’t kill it!😂

Hi David. Really enjoy all your videos. I just scarified and nicked about three dozen Japanese Holly seeds and soaked and planted them today. Such a lovely species. Nice tree. Have you had any success in growing them from seed, or tips? Karl

Hello David. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have a question. Do you have similar videos about pomegranate trees and lilacs bushes? If not would you consider making one? Thank you.

Beautiful result ! I have some questions though. You wire this in september. Just before fall sets in. How long will this wire stay you think? Will the branches stay in these positions allthough the tree does not grow now before winter ? And when it’s time to remove the wire, do you wire again immediately ? And is this species specific or more general ?

What do you mean by close internodes ?

Lateral buds and leaves grow out of the stem at intervals called nodes; the intervals on the stem between the nodes are called internodes. Google is your friend.😁

I just acquired this exact plant (Berry Poppins from Proven Winners in just that size)! My particular example was sold at a discount, as it had been neglected somewhat (underwatered). Given the species and a rough idea of its health, when would be a good time to be doing the kind of work I’m seeing you perform in this video?

Awesome Tora! Congratulations on your purchase. Right now is an ideal time to do this procedure. As I mentioned avoid touching the root system. Protect it in a shed or a cold garage over winter. Then you'll have to wait for early spring to do the repotting! I'll do an update of this work in time
