Thanks for this tutorial. The close clipping and really slow sewing are good tips. I bought the hat pattern about a month ago and had been afraid to start it now I will give it a try.

Chris mentions a June Taylor product for this, but I'm not seeing it mentioned as a recommended product. Is it not available from AQ?

Chris is having some trouble responding, but wanted me to pass along the response so you could know what to use/look for: We used the June Tailor T-Shirt Project Fusible Interfacing in this video. It’s available on the AccuQuilt website under the June Tailor tab, then Notions… or just search “interfacing” on the website and it’ll take you right to it. AccuQuilt also started carrying “Sew Any Shape” foam which is perfect for the front panel

Does the pattern come with the die?

Great instructions! Just one question. I have a very large head and cannot wear store-bought hats. I know those Velcro tabs you sewed in help some with adjusting the size but I doubt it will adjust to my size. The crown/top of the hat would need to be larger. Is there a way to make this hat larger? Just for reference, my motorcycle helmet is a 3X in a man size and I'm a female.

For reference, my head is 24.5” around and I have a little wiggle room. You can also sew with a scant 1/4” seam to add a little bit of room. I have been brainstorming a way to size up (already figured out how to size down) so I’ll keep everyone posted if I can find a good way to
