Thank you! Iv been trying to think of something I have on hand for the plunger seal. Your a blessing.
@timareskog24186 жыл бұрын
At first I didn't quite understand why you didn't glue the main body, but then I learnt real fast when you showed how to clean out the whole attachment, much easier than undoing the hose clamp like I thought was the way it was to be done. This is a really simple, cheap & easy to build and usable tool. Thank you for sharing this 👍 I've found Liquid Nails softens in water, especially if it's warm, so I'd use plumbers silicon to secure the small diameter suction pipe into the cap.
@BustedknucklesProspecting6 жыл бұрын
I usually just use fibreglass resin but I didn’t have any on hand so I improvised with liquid nails, it’s not to seal the hole and pipe, it’s main purpose is to hold the pipe away from the second trap so it doesn’t get blocked up.
@timareskog24186 жыл бұрын
Busted knuckles Prospecting Silicon should do the same as fibreglass, just not so rigid but I understand what your getting at. Good basic idea but I would have mucked it up if you didn't explain it so well.

i had one like that with a mason jar cap on it so i could put a big plastic mayonase jar on there, fills up rather quickly. have to keep emptying, so i put a clear hose on there with some adapters and into a five gallon jug, gonna try it out at the creek today, i saw a kit you could buy, so i made one.

@bradlo3083 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing mate love your work. Can i ask why aren't you using this more often in you more recent videos when you use your yabby pump? I thought it was a great idea when i saw it so i built one very similar to yours but without the front snuffer style vacuum nozzle & trap. the trap in the under side works well on mine without the snuffer style front trap & expels very little to no gold/debris when evacuating the water in the pump. I'm only a beginner at prospecting but enjoy making stuff out of scrap. I was nutting out your design & i'm thinking your suction draw length needs to be 2-3 times longer than your snuffer style vacuum nozzle for the debris to clear the vacuum nozzle & gold/debris trap opening. OR you could take the nozzle tip off the bottom & away from the debris before you come to full draw allowing debris to be flushed clear of the nozzle & above the debris trap. PS keep up the great videos mate.

For the nozzle, instead of an endcap, I reckon maybe a 2" to 1" reducer would make a sturdier connection. Just need to ream the inside lip a hair to slide the 1" needle tip past that adapter into the trap. Also, going to try rigging a mason jar as the bottom trap so you can see whats going on and when youre full up, then just thread off and dump. We'll see how it goes when I build it. Thanks!
