Great video. Gotta say the fact that just the action and just the reaction stuff actually play out fine when separated (although they do feel like they are missing something), is a testament to how great a filmmaker Wright is. You can tell that every shot has an intention behind it, with there being no filler bullshit added and not a single wasted shot. It all just flows together.

Totally, next time I do something like that, i'll do a comparison to show the difference between good directed and bad. Each shot has incredible detail and depth! LOVE EDGAR

Amazing Stuff of Break-down & Explanation. Highlighting the 'actor reaction' was a good reminder. Great work. Thank you.

I loved this movie when i watched it and this break down was super great after the fact. cause during the movie youre not really paying attention to every little detail. its nice to go back and see everything you might have missed the first time in great shots such as this one.

THANK YOU FOR THIS!! I love this movie and wondered it how tf he edited it when I watched it. Also if u notice a lot through the movie the actors stop in front of mirrors/ reflections but the camera is like non existent in the reflection it's dope

Could you do a tutorial on how to make transitions like Edgar Wright does? Like he uses a person walking in front of the camera to switch scenes. So could you make a tutorial on how to make that please?

Someone should recreate this with the exact same amount of frames in every shot and with the content and composition of every shot as matching as possible and see how it works out

I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel and I subscribed right away, I do love the video but I have yo disagree with you on one thing, quick editing ruins action scenes, especially car chasing sequences, it makes me feel like the editor is cheating, compensating for the lack of thrill in the scene by bombarding us with unnecessary cuts. A good car chasing scene supposed to allow us the chance to notice what's going on, who is where, etc.

"Super immersed"... I couldn't have given less of a fuck about this character, or anything that happened to him... this editing does nothing to make me care. NOTHING.
