Hi Daniel, the idea for the guitar neck rest is great and I like the design. I think it's cool that you show how it can be made with simple hand tools and explain everything necessary in an easy to understand way. Thanks and greetings to the Netherlands from Germany 👍👏🙋♂️

Hi Burkhard, Thank you very much for the compliment. I really appreciate you mentioning the way I explain things and how easy it is to understand and that hopefully means I'm on the right track with my style of videos and explaining.

Hi, what blades do you use on that jigsaw as it cuts so straight? I mean, that when I try to cut curves, blade will always go different path on other side. Especially with wood this thick. Even on straights it tends to do that. I have Makita jigsaw and I have tried at least three different type of blades.

I’m not sure what he uses but I use Diablo blades they aren’t the cheapest but they are amazing

I like this design and I can finally use an off cut from a piece of 8/4 poplar lumber. Question…why did you put the rubber on the larger radius on the underside of the rest, near the support legs? I assume the guitar will always rest on the smaller radius on the top.
@UnquendorGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Hi MixingGBPO, Thank you for your question. Some guitars may require a lower neck rest. By adding the rubber to the 'underside' I can use that side if needed. With this design I basically have 3 neck rest heights in one.

Hi Dangnabbit, You mean the drawing of the Dragon? It is the design of the 12th fret inlay on my latest guitar build. I made a video about it if you're interested. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnbWXqZuprZjnJo

Why should it allways be those distortion guitars screaming around, when sawing, rasping and sanding. Quite disturbing actually.

I took your comment to hearth and started to tone down the distorted guitars and heavy songs. Thank you for pointing this out as a fan of heavy metal and distorted guitars myself I didn't realise it might not always be the best choice to put it under every clip in every video.
