this reminds me the good old days when i used the CB, however, i understand that for this you first of all need some voice plan with the provider, is that right? Second how is the call secured its not just forwarding the voice but i understand that the voice goes over data ? There fore its encrypted? How its encrypted?

@Scott 1 so what about if it's propagating and you happen to be in like say Japan and you have this system and you go and try to make a call from Japan to one of these stations in Australia would it work??

the closest we can get is using Winlink for sending an e-mail.

Which still isn't bad it's just not as good as voice but if you needed to send an email to somebody providing they have email service then I guess that would be okay

kjilk simble that is settling we can get this tech but we have to convince the comms industry to persuade the FCC
