How to make a homemade drum set

In this video, I will show you how to make an home made drum set that should cost you around 20$ to build.

As a percussionist, I can say that the sound turned out better than I thought it would. Though, if you want to continuously use the set, buy some cheap drumsticks. You'll have more control over how you play.

Toms, bass and foot pedal are good but everything else could have used some work. The tape and bucket method can make a perfectly good snare, just layer the bottom with coins or bottle caps or marbles or even loose nails. Alternatively, just something that has a dry clap sound. A hi hat would be a great investment too, and thats just two metal discs mounted on top of one another. Motorcycle break discs, metal pot lids, steel dog bowls... Drill a hole and mount on stick. If you have a good mind for engineering you can even make a pedal high hat but just mounting two round metal things will get you 90% of the way there.

Another good way to make a snare is to use a low depth cake pan and use the same tape. Additionally taping a single layer of paper (not more than 1 to preserve the rest of the snare) for extra punch, but the paper snaps easily.

Yes it is TBH the sound Iike crap and it doesn't really work well but the ideas in there were pretty solid like the foot peddle is good I think if you switched up the materials and seen how the snare makes its sound you could have a better understanding of the things you can use

Well, it is sounded pretty nice for being made of home supplies, the random square thing makes a good splash, the sawblade decent ride, toms are ok, what you need a substitute for a hi-hat, then play the basic rock beat, Hi-hat Hi-Hat Hi-Hat Hi-Hat then Repeat! Bass Snare
