Love the frog song. Rough mix the dry before adding the wet... Just like making biscuits. Good video.

Hypertufa planter.....there it's on my "to do" list. Those would look really nice lining a walkway. Thanks for sharing:)
@Growyourheirlooms11 жыл бұрын
YW, BTW you can even get a concrete coloring and add it to the mix for "colored" hypertufa pots.

There was even a guy at a nursery I visited years ago that built concrete posts using PVC drain pipe as forms and he elevated his planters using the posts. Looked incredible.

Grow Your Heirlooms I'd like to see a pic of that.

Great DYI pot video ! Do they hold up to tough freeze thaw cycles ?
@WayneMeador11 жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same thing *****!
@Growyourheirlooms11 жыл бұрын
Yes, they hold up very well. I made lots of them in Alaska and they went through the winters there no problem.

Oh nice ! That might be an interesting way to add levels to my garden

Its ok to use coco peat?
@Growyourheirlooms4 жыл бұрын
I have never tried it with coco peat

You can also throw in some cement color to get rid of that grey.

What's the difference between Portland cement and other types? I asked at our hardware store and they didn't have a small bag of Portland.
@Growyourheirlooms8 жыл бұрын
Portland is more of a powdery mix and is used for a base for different types of concrete. It has no rocks or gravel in it.
@eveny1198 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the answer. I wonder why they don't sell smaller bags for DIY'ers? I guess they make more money on the smaller pre mixed stuff they don't bother.

Why not make a form for the inside and pack the Hypertufa between the forms?
@Growyourheirlooms9 жыл бұрын
+gardenman3 That would certainly work.

NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR FROGS GUY. Nature's indicator species, can't regulate transfer of potential toxic chemicals into their dermis. You my man. Live somewhere relatively safe n green. Be blessed by the bringer of rain. Unless you in one of those poor ass flood hit states that is.... X
