This lid type is for those who simply dislike throwing a lid separately from the form. only problem is you gotta know how to throw an enclosed form first ;)
P.S, you should see this video • Beginners guide to thr... before watching this one

This was a wonderful instructional video... I want to try this technique soon. I've heard that if you enclose a form you should put a little button of clay in the lid to keep it from cracking where it was pinched closed.

Yes, that does help but if you can do it without the little crack or hole it's fine too

We used chopsticks on enclosed forms then cut at the bottom of the indent formed by the chopstick and formed a nice drop in lid that way this looks much easier

Donte, have you used an Exacto knife, yet? I've used those when I carve my jack-o'-lanterns and they're great. Plus, you can drop in different types of blades if you need more precise cuts. BTW, miss your face! Come down to LA some time and I'll take you out throwing at my local place!

Hey I was getting onto the little website thingie to support you. But is there a way for me to do that but just give you donations when I save up instead of monthly? Just wondering, also I do pottery and I was wondering if I could send you a piece. I'm not that good at pottery soooo yeah. Sorry I was rambling.

Atalie Mitchell he's just doing it in a way that people with different learning types can understand, just like a teacher. You didn't have to berate him for trying to teach people things, when he doesn't have to in the first place.

Yeah I getcha, I think I will move on. I like the content just wish there was a less douchy way of relaying the info. I see the title and think “ great I could learn more about this” but then I start watching and so much time gets wasted with useless words, and I don’t want to feel this way I really don’t! but I just keep thinking ..what a douch bag uuggh
