Your video is excellent but I wouldn't score the cardboard 2:46 before I fold it. You are making it weaker. I would just simply fold over the cardboard as is.

Will it fold without scoring it? I haven't had very good luck with that.

Scoring makes it easier to fold and keep the fold straight. The only thing I would change is what was used to do the scoring. Using that sharp corner of the ruler might slice the cardboard but a tool with a rounded edge (a scoring tool or the flat edge of a butter knife or even the rounded edge of that ruler) might be better choices.
