I haven’t tried, but I think it would not capsize as long as there are no waves or anything. But it I think it would eventually fall apart like you said :)

I have been doing this for years aswell as floating them and sinking them i work years sometimes days or weeks i recommend you put gulf wax and then it would not effect it
