Great video and I like that you added to the "usual" way. I'm subbing. I just got into this genre of space art and would love to learn more. Keep up the good work :)

This is amazing! The tutorial's just awesome. One suggestion though. I see that your explanation might not be very helpful for beginners. I would love if you could explain more precisely for beginners. M not a beginner but the method I know to create stars was not working (maybe due to the high resolution I'm working with. And your tutorial has provided me with the most perfect alternative ever. Keep making more and I promise to subscribe :)

Great Sarvesh! Thank you for your kind words -- I'm glad it was helpful for you. I try to make my tutorials accessible for all skill levels -- but sometimes the topic is so complex I imagine a lot of pause/rewind has to happen to master the skills.
@SarveshParakh9 жыл бұрын
Michael Swartz You are welcome. I hope you'll figure a way out to avoid all the pause and rewind. Happy Making :)

How do I make the minimum tool less than 1?
@swartz3d8 жыл бұрын
+Zoe Bromley Hi Zoe, within the Minimum filter dialogue box, set the Preserve attribute to Roundness -- this allows sub-pixel values.
@s.pancake70696 жыл бұрын
i dont have that option to set it to roundness D:

What if i dont want a black background but a dark blue one? Because when I do this with a Blue-ish background i het light blue stars too, but i want the stars to remain white. Great tutorial btw!

Hi Noel, there are a gazillion different ways to change colors of your sky in Photoshop -- in this situation, I'd try making a "Solid Color" layer with a blue fill (Layer menu / New Fill Layer... / Solid Color...). Then play around with the Blending Mode settings for the layer (it says "Normal" by default) -- try Multiply or Soft Light...

Adobe has been rewriting their plugins across the board. Many are now compatible with Smart Objects and 16 bit color now which is awesome.

Graet job bro ! , but now how can i add these stars to an photo ? 😢
@spaceykas17278 жыл бұрын
You can add the stars by saving the pic of just the stars, and then opening it in a new document and adding it to that as a background or similar, or you could completely recreate it on a new document and the merge those layers in order to have a flat star background. I hope this helped a little bit!

How to make everything nice purple color? (more of graphic design tbh)
@swartz3d8 жыл бұрын
+Zack Walker (JapaneseLearning101) Hi Zack, you could try a Gradient Map adjustment layer. The Gradient Map will remap the luminance values in your image to any color using a ramp -- for example, you could make the darkest portions of your image purple and the brightest parts could remain white.

Michael, the tutorial is great however I'm really a Newbie at this. Why do you have the Jitters (moving your cursor back and forth before you click or highlight your destination -but your'e not the only one) with your cursor (??) before you actually go to where you are suppose to click (?) for me it's really hard to follow (I have to keep pausing and going back sometimes in order to see what you've done - very aggravating- is there anyway way you can talk and simply move your cursor Right to where you must highlight or click without moving your cursor about 15 times back and forth before you click or highlight ? Aside from that it is a really great tutorial. Nevertheless, I think I will eventually get it (after a plethora of pauses and go backs) :) Overall keep up the good work guy.
