I am on day 4 of learning how to sew I watched a lot of tutorials but I couldn’t finish watching them because they seemed difficult. I clicked on your video and followed all of the steps I made some pants for the first time thank you soooo much I’m in tears right now. I’m so proud of myself. However my pants didn’t fit because I didn’t get stretchy material but that’s ok I’m still proud. I subbed thank you again.

In the description she lets us know if we are not using a stretchy material for the pants we use as a pattern to pick a pair that's also not stretchy. WOOHOO cause I have some non stretchy material I bought for pants and so I'll use my non stretchy pants as a pattern, but still follow the rest. SO HAPPY I saw your comment!! TY TY!

Can you serge these seams? Not sure if they will lie flat. These would be great too by adding some easy pockets in front. Thank you! Unfortunately that’s beyond my skills to teach. I’m rarely able to wear clothing made with non stretch fabric and zippers unless they’re loose and flowy due to some physical health issues, so I usually have to stick with stretch fabrics for pants and other fitted clothing and haven’t tried to make pants like that before. I’m so sorry I can’t help, I wish I could!!

Yes they will! Just use a pair of pants that fits her as the guide and wrap the elastic around her waist to measure it and you should be good to go! 😃

You could use this same idea for linen, but you’ll want to use a pair of non stretch pants (like a pair of cotton pajama pants, for example) as the template rather than a pair of stretch pants, that way you’ll get the right fit when using non stretch fabric! I also suggest trimming the seam allowance with a pair of pinking shears which will help prevent the fabric from fraying so the pants will last longer 😃

I've never made baby bibs, and although it's been a couple of years since I've made an apron, I used to follow Whitney Sews sewing tutorials for aprons because she had some super cute ones that I loved!!!
