Can't you slow dry them in an oven?

We have in the past. However it does not dry as well.

How does that neetsfoot oil not change the color of the stitches? Is it because of the bonded nylon?

The hydraulic press is a great idea. As you said, it sure beats hand molding.

Sam, do you oil the finished product multiple times to get the dark rich color of the vegetable tanned leather?

Yes 4 -5 coats .
