Hi everyone! In this quick tutorial, I will teach one simple method to create a "motion graph swoosh" in Blender, utilizing particles. This method can be adapted and used to make all different kinds of photo light trails.

I haven't tested it yet by attaching or parenting to a bone or another object. The way the trail follows in this tutorial is made by a pre-made animation/motion path.

Probably gonna have to animate an emitter next to the object you want it to follow, best way to do it I've seen.

hey there! I think the problem might be with the render engine, this gradient effect only shows up when using Cycles instead of Eevee

Since it is a procedural effect, the best way to use it is inside a blender animation. I believe you can export everything as a .fbx file and use it in game engines but it will not work as expected. I think the best use of it is to export as PNG sequence for your game

to invert the "head" sizes, you must invert the gradient ramp. the dark part will be be the small part and the white one will be the big size

Make sure you select the Circle (particle inference) when you're making the gradient shader. Also make sure your cube/single vertex doesn't have the gradient shader applied.
