In a previous post, I published the first steps to using Power Pivot. This time we will use Power Pivot in Excel 2013, in the same way we would use it in Excel 2010.
The new data model of Excel 2013 allows us to make tables and dynamic charts with several tables or several data sources using the Relationship Concentrate.
We have 4 tables in Excel, one in each sheet. The first 3 are catalogs of sellers, branches and products, and the third is a sales table with data of the first 3.
Adding tables to the data model In Excel 2010 as well as in Excel 2013, the procedure for adding tables to the data model is similar. We position ourselves on the table and in the PowerPivot tab we choose Add to data model.
The PowerPivot window will open and we will see that our table was added to a Grid similar to a spreadsheet. We do the same procedure for the other sheets.
