What about people who doesn't have a whole factory of equipment available? Mag welder, bench drill, hydraulic plate shear, pneumatic drill tool.. that's alot of investment for a very basic outdoor cook set. Title should be "smith who doesn't know how to properly weld, makes a small wobbly grill and feeble cook stand" Even with my limited welding knowledge know you only weld exhaust pipes like that, to not burn through it.. Anything you want to last needs to fuse by melting together

Now this is the problem with these short videos nowadays. Some creators care only about how the video will look cool instead of being actually educational. This has the same energy as those fake guitarists trying to teach others that you can play Justin Bieber just by strumming open strings. Real metal worker and blacksmiths took years for them to achieve this kind of skills and this video just straight up threw the whole community’s efforts into the dumpster. Disrespectful and meaningless.

@iagodarriba1840
@iagodarriba1840 Жыл бұрын
@@Mr.Safety. I think my point is very simple to understand. It is much simpler to make a structure that is the grid with a frame and four legs, without making it have an adjustable height or even without bothering to file the welds or paint the base so that it looks ''pretty'' and it will be just as useful for cooking.

We have a barbecue that is quite literally a wheel (no tyre), similar looking like one of those... temporary wheels. Filled in all the holes, made a quick frame out of scrap wood to place it on and bam. Just light a fire in it, place a grid on top and it’s good enough!

"If youre gonna make something, make it right". Those are bad welds. If you made it the exact same way with that shit weld technique, youll be 5 years down the road, at a campfire, cooking up some food and then suddenly discover a series ash flavor because the welds failed and dumped your meal into the fire. Set the welder properly, and run a gokd bead and the grill will last until your grandkids graduate
