You just have to make sure they're all the same size and that they're all downloaded in pdf format.

That's totally up to you. I'd check Amazon for the type of journal you want to sell. See how many pages are in the best selling and highest rated ones. That's a good place to start.

When I use a template I try to make mine so it's not recognizable. I feel safest doing that. You can add or remove sections, change font, add other elements...

Thank you! Good question. I'd have to check to be 100% sure but I think there are certain versions that are copyrighted. You can use quotes but not a large amount of text. It's probably a good idea to research whatever version you plan to reference.

Is it better to make low content books in Canva than in book bolt? When I use book bolt to create books, I always receive a error message from KDP saying the margins are not correct whereas in Canva you can click on custom design and then Canva sets the margins for you

Hey! It's really a matter of personal preference. I don't have an issue with the margins but if I want to use elements that are in Canva I'll sometimes use it for an interior.

Ho Tonette. KDP does have a color option but I haven't tried that yet. The base price is higher but it may be worth it to give it a shot.

Thank you so much for this amazing video. I watched this morning and took detailed notes. I am currently working on creating a journal to give to young teen moms that I am mentoring as a gift. I would like to incorporate paragraphs in my journal from other women’s as words of encouragement. The concept is the journal will be monthly and at the start of each month there will be a message of inspiration. What’s the best way to do this in canva as it appears that most of the journal videos don’t show journals with too much written text in them.

I saw few youtubers, they change the size of interior while making it and follow the kdp bleed guidelines like you make this journal as 7*10 inches for interior but choose as bleed .. In guidelines.. 7*10 inches(no bleed) 17.78*25.4 cm 7.125*10.25 inches(bleed) 18.08*26cm .. So, in 7*10, need to convert the interior size for bleed(using canva resize)?

I made 8.5*11 inches journal Workbook interior which has 122 pages blue silver themed that is for kdp I used blue and silver colour in interior background and some blue text for it..just want to know, can I use coloured for kdp journal workbook? I made the kdp cover for 122 pages. The interior has some frames/border and quotes outside margin but inside print bleed. . Will I choose Bleed for same and strech the background colour to print bleed to hide bleed(white space) or NO BLEED option as remain as it is?

Yes, you can calculate the page size for bleed using Canva.

Beacuse kdp has different sizes for bleed..like add 0.125(width) & 0.25(height) for bleed system .. Plz tell, my journal(workbook) is 8.5*11 & I used elements outside margin but inside print bleed(as canva shows margin/bleed lines) So, should I use 8.625*11.25 for bleed OR 8.5*11 for bleed?

You can create a page that would go before your page that adds a credit, like an intro page. I don't use enough text to warrant attribution so I don't do it.
