i was not aware how many steps and production process was involved past the initial art/vectorizing. i was considering getting my art onto some embroidery patches, but i think it might be easier for me to just outsource that step once done in chroma. thanks for the video regardless

Can’t do all vectorizing,digitizing and the svg file with Wilcom? Just do once, at least for me, Wilcom does all 3. Why do three times the same thing? I don’t understand.😅

Awesome video. I think I’m going to ditch Wilcom for Chroma as I am a heavy Illustrator user for my screen printing business. I only use a PC for digitizing and it can be a struggle. That being said, what kind of adhesive do you use on the back?

why wouldnt you just import the .ai file into Chroma instead of recreating it in AI and then Chroma?

I use a Beamo Laser Cutter and the software is called Beam Studio. Works pretty well and I will put up a video shortly of how I do it.

When digitizing the design, is there a particular spacing in the fill stitch that you find works best?

Hey Danny - If you are referring to the density (Layers of thread) in the fill, then I would set that 0.40 mm. If the thread is a light color on a dark material I will set it at 3.0mm so that the fabric doesn't bleed through. Thank you for the test sheet! i've been doing something similar with the direction of the stitching and trying to decide what works best depending on what part of the design i'm digitizing. i'm excited to do more experiments with this

I also have Chroma luxe and a Ricoma machine, I’m having trouble saving the file as a DST file on my Mac in order to put it on the machine. Any suggestions I’m finding nothing about it anywhere.

When you go and save the file manually put type the .dst extension after the file name and hit save - That works for me…
