Thank you for this tutorial. May I ask what is the difference between flower paste gum paste, fondant etc? Is one better than the other for flowers?

Gum paste and flower paste are essentially the same thing. They dry quickly and become like china and they keep their shape so are perfect for making flowers. Fondant or Sugar-paste is usually used to cover cakes. It isn’t really suitable to make flowers as it is much softer. You can add tylose to it but I’d just buy flower or Gumpaste to make your flowers. There are lots of brand’s available so try a few to see which you prefer working with.
