Gochujang & Tamarind Stir Fry: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKnUdZSXoJlljMU Recipe notes & tips: - I’ve been looking at recipes for garaetteok, and it looks pretty straightforward. I think it comes down to using the right type of rice. I think I’ll try a couple different things in a video; blending cooked sushi rice (the most recommended technique) and then perhaps try rice flour + tapioca starch, and glutinous rice flour + tapioca starch. Sushi rice is a little pricey over here, although a 500g packet costs the same as the pack of garaetteok, so I would at least get more bang for my buck!

I just went vegan and I’m in England. It’s wonderful to find this channel because I know I can also find everything you use

Oh nice! That's one thing I find frustrating with buying vegan cookbooks; I see delicious recipes, but then can't easily find the ingredients. Feel free to give me a shout if you need any pointers

I am in Korea. The rice cake shown in the video appears to be different from Korea's cylindrical rice cake and is more like China's 'Fenmozi' rice cake. 🙂

Thank you for that! Korean food sadly isn't much of a "thing" in Leeds where I live, so I don't get chance to explore the cuisine as much as I'd like

It looks like it would taste even better if you diced up the rice cakes prior to cooking. Great video, thank you!
