You did a wonderful job!!! It looks beautiful! And I actually think I could do this! I’ve seriously been looking at radiator covers for over 2 months and they are so expensive and I can’t afford them. I think the only tool I would need to buy would be the saw to do this. You’ve totally inspired me. Thank you! -Elizabeth

Very good video especially for alot of us who dont own every fancy d.i.y tool in the world lol. Was this a cost effective project as you can buy some covers at a budget price around £27 in the UK and the more expensive ones are like £70 and over fully painted.
@ACornerInEurope
@ACornerInEurope 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Chrissy, thank you for watching 😊. It was definitely more expensive than £70. However all our radiators are odd sizes, leaving us with two options. Get a custom made one or make one ourselves. It is a lot cheaper to make it and the design will also be unique.

Love this! Did you buy the mdf precut (including what looks like a notch for the baseboard)? Do they charge you to cut it? How much space did you add beyond the dimensions of the radiator?
@ACornerInEurope
@ACornerInEurope 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Helen, I asked the guys at the hardware store to cut them. The raiator was is 60 by 40cm, so I added 20cm on the width and height, the notch at the baseboard doesn't need to be cut, when building you raise the the basebord a few cm from the ground then attach it to the side boards.

Hey, did you drill the radiator into the wall? If not, is it stable and can it be left on his own. I would ideally like to not drill it into the wall so that there is easy access when contractors come. I would appreciate a response. Thanks
@ACornerInEurope
@ACornerInEurope 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I used window or a cupboard buckle, it comes in 2 pieces, one piece you can attach to the wall and the other piece you attach to the radiator cover, then hook it. Search for this on Google you will find it on amazo "Cabin Hook Stainless Steel Hook and Eye Latch 2 Pcs Cabinet Latches for Door Gate Window Closet Shed." Let me know if you need anymore help. ❤

How do you access the valve to turn it on or off? It seems like the valve is covered inside the board .
@ACornerInEurope
@ACornerInEurope 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Rashik, I always have my termostat at 2,3. When it is hot, like summer, it doesn't heat. When it starts getting cold it heats to 22-23 degrees Celsius, so our home is always a minimum of 22 degrees. But, if yours require that you turn it on and off every day, I recommend just pulling it out and change it, as the current wireless solutions are expensive.
