Hey guys. I'm making the mask as of right now, and I must advise something. I find that contact cement works better on foam compared to glue. It sticks tighter and dries quicker.

Flipping sweet. Make a Deathstroke mask!

frigginboom Make the mask exactly the same but only cut out the left eye hole. Paint the eyeless side black and paint the side with the eye hole orange before you glue them together. Then, use the same technique to make the eyes or use mirrored sunglass lenses to make the eye or you could leave it completely open if you want to it just depends on your personal preference.

I just modified this template to make a kylo ren helmet, it worked really well but I think your head is really thin, I had to make my helmet 2 inches wider with an extra piece of foam just to fit properly! Then again the foam I used was twice the thickness of yours...

+Isiah Ruiz I haven't tried using a yoga matt myself but it should work if its foam. Do a test first with 2 pieces of the matt see if they stick together well.

you could add some breathing holes over the mouth but the shape of the mask is pretty much the same. I would use the same template and skip the white part of the eye thing.

+Gerchu Gallardo Thats wood glue or PVA or mod podge if you can get it. It seals the foam so you can paint over it without the paint being absorbed by the foam. Do at least 3 coats it also helps give the piece some shine.

I only have 10mm foam but I'm concerned that it's too thick to mold into shape. Is 10mm foam good enough to make into this helmet, or would it be better if I just used 5mm foam? I've tried looking everywhere for 5mm EVA but I couldn't find any. Can you recommend me any websites you bought your foam roll from?

It will work i have used 10 mm foam for helmets. if you still want the thinner foam look for EVA anti fatigue foam mat roll
