Takara Tomy actually made a full sized Buzz Lightyear for Toy Story 4 that didn’t talk but had a decent amount of articulation known as Toy Story 4 Real Posing Buzz Lightyear Exclusive to Japan. His helmet was retractable, and had springs in both the buttons, so when you press both the Helmet Buttons in, you can fully remove the helmet

7:21 Your using the wrong button on your Buzz Lightyear but it supposed to be the purple helmet buttons sides to press to open close retracted his helmet?. Not the red chest button the red button is to pop his wings, But can you focus to get it right how to pretend to open and close retractabing Buzz's helmet is those purple side buttons this makes it look accurate just right?!

It sucks that this is the only way, to take Buzz's helmet off and put it back on. For years, I was always frustrated as to why none of the Buzz toys in real life, have the ability to open the helmet by pressing the purple buttons on the sides, except for the Disney version. Even then, it still won't slide all of the way back behind Buzz's head like it does in the movies. That's the closest thing to it.

@@todayigrewup Yeah, and now it's almost 30 years after the first Toy Story came out and none of them still can't get Lightyear's helmet right. None of my old Thinkway action figures did it either. I had to take the helmet apart myself if I wanted Buzz to look like what he did in the movie when he didn't have it on.
