I have always wanted to have a machine that would work like this! I made rope in a camp setting as well, just enough to make a lanyard for my neck name plate, and the machine was similar to the manual ones you described, although with a front and back paddle to hold the winders, it made a decent machine. Your design for the dril-operated one is so efficient! I'm looking forward to watching the next videos on how to make long rope lengths by one person. Thanks!

Wondering if a gear system would be more reliable than a belt system? Could 3d print 3 small gears that mesh around one larger gear in the center. Or use old bicycle gears, connected with a bike chain. That would make sure that all three turn at exactly the same speed, and there's no possibility of slip.
