How to make a Rose from a 100 dollar bill.

Learn how to make an origami dollar Rose based on the classic Kawasaki Rose. This variation was designed by Sok Song and Seth Friedman.
If you use a new US 10 dollar bill, your rose will be more red!
Or you can use money from any country, but your rose will have a different length stem.

A word of advice: If you make this as part a tip, make it out of a dollar and the give the rest in plain ol' bills. The rose is beautiful and they'll likely want to keep it, but most also need the actual tip to live on. Same for gifts, really. It would break my heart to receive one of these made out of a hundred and have to unfold it to spend it.

It must be ‘inflation,’ as her $100. dollar bill is four times larger than any I ever possessed. Thus, that makes the rose project four times easier. If she did it with a regular bill, the finished rose would come out about 3/4”

That's a huge bill. Demo purpose I assume? The paper that you used on 0:33 to section off the bill still applies to a regular sized bill?

Yes, you can use any lined paper with any size bill. Just align the bill so that each corner touches lines 5 units apart.

Dividing a real bill uses the same process! Just line up the short edge of the bill with 5 lined sections of notebook paper.

A dollar is about 3×7 inches, but for this you could use pretty much any rectangle. All that would change is the length of the stem.
