As a beginner, why scratch and not other more advanced programming platforms? I mean scratch can be fun and beginner friendly, but it seems too limiting for more complex projects.

@@skatzoxoiros869 scratch allows you to be creative, but work with a limited experience. I have used other programming stuffs but scratch is better for begginers. Its not the best, its just good

If you watch griffpatch you'll know that he create tutorial that is insane, like creating a platformer game, or even title scrolling background game like Mario, he also has the most followers on scratch. He's the best scratcher (and KZbinr) for me.

You can actually use only one sprite as a backgorund, just put "create a clone of myself" after the "when flag is clicked" amd then put "when I start as a clone" and then the code you used for the second sprite

I've always wanted the ST to branch off into more advanced topics, and this is perfect. Consider doing generative art, custom procedures (well, my blocks. I hate the new name 😞), cloud, and/or scrolling platformers. That would help a lot of confused Scratchers.

Very informative and nice! Thank you! I learned a lot from you in few days. But I have another question about the backgrounds. I made a little intro for my game and now have reached the Menu part. I did that and I am working to ad the next background as I wish that after the button will be pushed it will be able to go to the actual game (few games in one scratch project). But I try to figure out how to make the other background to disapear until It is its turn because right now the third background is trying to be already in the first page witch I do not want. I think I managed to do this with the second background but forgot how. :D

Finally useful tutorial. Btw instead of duplicating background sprite you can just use clone blocks.

Simple fix is also to make the sprite bigger than the size of your screen and then you can make it move for longer
