I like using a method that attaches the lining to the bottom of the bag because my linings always end up sitting loosely inside. I tend to make my linings a little bit smaller so they fit more smoothly. Good tutorial for beginners. 😁👍💕

Love your basket. I’ve seen a couple of examples of these and love them all. Love that you have your turning point on the side of the bag rather then the top. Really makes for a neater bag.

You can make them in bigger sizes, adjust your length of starting fabrics, and may l suggest you use foam interfacing if you go bigger; l have a pattern for larger sizes with handles in three dimensions. Hi Thank you so much for this tutorial, so easy to follow and concise. I have made my first basket but found when I turned it the right way out my stiffener went wrinkly. Have I used the wrong thing? The one I have is quite stiff and the basket stands up beautifully but wrinkly.

I think I have been using too hot of an iron with the fleece😳 it always ripples. Thanks for pointing that out

Yes, a hot iron can cause all sorts of issues for interfacing...I always use a warm iron...it may take a little longer, but better than it getting ripples in your project :) thanks for taking the time to watch and be part of the channel :) till next time happy sewing :)

Hi. I made one of your basket/bags and it came out great. I have one question... You said if the fabric you ironed isn't flat you run your clapper over it. Sorry but I'm from the Midwest in the US and I have no idea what a clapper is. 🙄😄

you can, but it may not have the same finish like the one in the video...I find when I use batting it does not sand up as well...but it is up to you :)

3.37 the measurements are mentioned there...your finished basket will be approximately 5.5inchs to 6inches in height

I love these little bins, but haven't been able to find a good pattern. Yours is great so simple to follow along on it! Hope to have some time this winter to do some sewing. These would also look really cute quilted with a narrow cross-hatch. BTW, is that a watch or a bracelet? It is beautiful!
