Beadalon makes these really thin big-eye needles made by basically twisting really thin wire together but with a big needle eye. They work great with 0.5mm elastic and will still go through an 11/0 size seed bead. FYI.

I have those exact same clips. I also use mini clothes pins, those little metal "clicky barrettes ", and metal alligator paper clips to hold my string. Tying is the most important step…so glad you showed that! This type of cord is silicone and unlike plastic, it cannot be sealed by burning the ends. I just finished a bracelet on leather laces, also .5mm, but found this packet of seeds and have the stetchy cord so I will be working on this bracelet. Thanx…

Where can I get the elastic string you used? I've seen some others, but they did not have great reviews.

So I'm pretty sure they stopped selling it, which made me sad, but I've started using this elastic string (I'll add a link so you can see it) and it has actually worked really well for me for seed bead bracelets so far. I would also try looking at craft stores, usually the stuff they have is pretty good quality. :) www.amazon.com/Amaney-Elastic-Stretchy-Bracelet-Crystal/dp/B07S1SL3BW/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?dchild=1&keywords=5mm+elastic+string+for+bracelets&qid=1609903421&sprefix=.5+mm+elasti&sr=8-13
