I’ve been sewing things for years. I have a really nice Bernina, but it has been in the closet for years. I really need to " re familiarize" myself with the machine. ololol I did make a few items with a zipper but that was YEARS ago. I need a refresher course & I’ve watched other instructional videos and still got lost because they sped up the video. Yours was the only one I’ve seen that actually makes me want to watch all the way through. I wanted to make a whole bag for a trip that I am taking and a nice one for my son's wedding in April. I have time over the holidays since I will be home & I am going to do yours first & follow the step by step instructions. Thank you so much for your excellent descriptions

I almost skipped this video, as I've watched *many* tutorials on zippered pouches, and I'm so glad that I decided to watch it anyway. So many helpful tips! Using the glue stick is simply brilliant. Moving the zipper tab out of the way makes so much sense. The way you did the topstitching, making the rectangle across the zipper rather than two separate edge-to-edge lines is another great tip. I've saved this to my "stitchy hings" playlist (yes, hings, I was amused by the typo when I made the playlist & never corrected it) and I'm sure I'll be referencing it the next time I make a pouch.

Your explanation to stitch the zipper was so well done. I always struggle with that Thank you
