To be technical it's called a square knot. Grwat demonstration. Different colors for demonstration purposes is great for beginners. Good job!!!

If you know how to do knitting, it’s just the same as casting on! I’m making face shields for the hospital where my mom works on covid ward as they are low on them. I’ve bought acetate sheets, adhesive foam rolls, stapler and elastic fabric for the strap, and I’ve been searching for an adjustable strap method. This is perfect as it will be easy to adjust the face shield and allow ease when putting back on and off. Thank you 😊 🙏

Thank you for this tutorial. It has taken me 3 of them to get over my left-handedness. Yours computed in my (mostly) ambidextrous brain in a way that got me past wanting to do it backward because I'm left-handed with some of this stuff. 🤣

Thanks for this! Could we melt/burn the ends of the macrame knot instead of gluing?
@beadsandbasics6 жыл бұрын
you can, but i found if you wear the bracelets allot the knot can come loose, thats why we add a drop of glue :)

🤔 i think learning to tie knots will keep the finger nimble, improve motor skilling, keeping the memory alive.👍 👉Keep on trying different knots. Having problem then solve it, it will keep your mind alert thinking of solutions. Great for improving on problem solving skills and analytical mind on many other things.

Senpai Notice me Dont put yourself down! You CAN do it! It takes some practice but keep trying! It will work.. Im a jewelry designer and when I started I cudnt even tie a knot properly..Now I can make all kinds of jewelry.. So just keep practicing and watch different videos on the same technique you are trying to learn.. You will get it eventually.. and when you do get it, you will be so proud and so happy you kept trying.. Plz let me know how you make out? 👍
@belflew Жыл бұрын
.Senpai (4 yrs later!), it might help to slow down the video. If you hover over the video (don’t click yet), you should see a “Settings” icon (looks like a cog/star) in the lower right corner. 1) Click that icon, 2) click “Playback speed”, 3) then click 0.25 (i.e. 0.25 x Normal speed, so the slowest), 0.50, or 0.75. This slows down audio as well, but it helps visually. 3:42 - 3:59 is a bit confusing. She just shifts the green slipknot thread end from right hand to left, puts it (from left to right) under the 4 pink threads of the bracelet, then pulls to finish the knot - but it looks more complicated because the thread twists into loops, and she keeps readjusting thread and fingers. :-) Ditto for the same knot on the right side. *** REMEMBER TO RESET “Playback speed” to “Normal” when you’re done! All videos will play at the speed you last selected.
