The OnePlus 6 is now readily available at retail but how did it get there? OnePlus let me go behind the the curtain at their production facility to witness and document the production process. This experience gave me new perspective on the smartphone industry and smartphones in general. Hope this video will provide some insight for you guys as well.

those component that you have mentioned are built in another factory/company and they have there owned machine to assemble like on the video. Like in the camera there are more than machine and hands to assemble it of course the sony is involved that. and Oneplus has a partnership and supplier in many company like sony. One plus focuses on how they assembled the unit and optimizing hardware and software. but the components they have many suppliers.

For all of you thinking the devices that you receive have been dropped hundreds of times just stop. THOSE are test units and not the one you receive. They grab a couple out of the batch and test them to see if the batch's quality is good. Then those test units are disposed or recycled NOT SOLD.

They are testing a small sample of the batch. It's destructive sampling and doing it to all wouldn't be beneficial

Not only the video was interesting but it was entertaning, Lew is a master on this, I keep coming back to see this video, on the other hand we have Linus that went behind the scenes as well and did a similar video, and yet, I almost couldn´t watch it until the end.
