NOT USING LOOPS IS LIKE NOT USING THE BACKBOARD WHEN PLAYING BASKETBALL.... YOU WILL LOSE. MUSIC OF ANY KIND IS JUST LOOPS AND PATTERNS OF NOTES THAT MAKE MELODIES
@LemonfaceBeatz
@LemonfaceBeatz Жыл бұрын
A) if you use loops from a service like Splice, you are fully entitled to release the song as your own. If you get a copyright strike because of it, Splice now allows you to download a PDF with a license for the samples you used so you can counter the copyright strike and still monetize your music. B) I hate how using loops has become so stigmatized. Some of the biggest Hip Hop classics used blatant loops, and no one cares. If it sounds dope it sounds dope, that’s all that should matter. NOW, I’m not saying that slapping 3 loops together and calling it a day is the right way to make beats, but using a basic loop as a song starter and adding your own instrumentation and samples to it should be fine. The only ones that will/might know it are your fellow producers anyway, and they probably make up 0.01% of your audience 🤷‍♂️

Hey! There is nothing wrong with using loops until you want to make money, get a placement, and work with companies and artist who don’t allow loops in their composition. This video is to help producers get over the habit of using loops. A lot of producers get stuck at looping the same pattern without knowing what’s next, I provide the gems. No need to HATE anything fam. Have a nice day!

@@fkanous6077 I’m 100% with you there. But it can also be a great tool to put in as a base layer and then start building around that with own additions. I’ve done this myself and use this method to become less and less dependent on samples throughout the years.

New Jersey in the house. My weapon of choice is the MPCX. I use 1 shots. I can make my one melodies and beats without all that copyright striking nonsense. I'm not judging...people do what they do. I used to feel like I was missing something if I didn’t use loops ( I’m also not that good at putting a track together) because my background is more in live music performance with bands, so my brain tends to overthink the whole writing process. However, I found using samplers has really helped my creativity and expand my songwriting skills a lot and the music comes out different than I would have if I just looked at music the same way when I’m behind a piano or keyboard. This tutorial has given me some ideas how to use some of the one shots I have collected. Thanks so much.

My process is long....but I still create the majority of my loops and sounds from scratch. I have no issue with using loops, but I did have an artist who didn't want any of the tracks that I sent him to be "loops". Just to avoid the whole monetizing process. Good stuff you're posting here. Keep pushing!!

I've made beats from nothing. Beats from one shots, and loops. You'll never know if I don't tell you! Producers harp on loops like us as artists thought your verse was worthless if you couldn't do it in one take... Cut the boo boo and make something dope and keep going! I made 200 beats last year after having my mk3!

I never was into looping. I’m into one shots, VSTs, and such. I prefer to come up with my own melodies and rhythms and such. Less chance of having to deal with sounding like the 1000 folks using the same premade loops and less chance of dealing with copyright issues. Besides, coming up with something strictly off top is fun to me. I love the challenge of it.

Although my go to is my old trusty fantom x6, mv8800 and mpc2500 I'm diggin on what you do with Maschine !!!!! My process is pretty simple... I sample sounds from around my apartment and make drums out of them then I take some chromatic sounds from my mv8800, sequence them together and sample what I made into my fantom x6 then I can CHOP MY OWN BEAT 💓 🎶 😎 💯

Sarah, my name is Juan (stage name DweeBop), and I've been following you for a while. I am a singer/songwriter who uses a voice processor and Boss 505 looper to create songs. I've been using loops and occasionally one-shots to create pieces. I have Ableton, an Arturia controller, and a Splice member. It has always been easier to record a loop to one track on my looper, and improvise on the other loop tracks with my voice. Thanks to you, I will be looking into purchasing hardware that will make using one-shots a better option, so I can make my creations my own.

I use a lot of their free stuff and I purchase things as well. I don't see an issue and if I change or tune a sample to what I need that's on me. Do these people play an instrument of any kind?? I do, Keyboard and Bass guitar, so If I DON'T want to use a sample, but use a sound some other person made is that wrong?!?!?

I'm from Toronto. i don't use loops much because i make music for fun and the experience of creating. loops rob me of that unless i am using them with purpose not just lazily

Also, I really enjoyed native instruments machine the MK two I had a lot of fun on that and almost got sucked into using the George Dukes plug-in pawnin it off like did this but I just couldn’t do it😂 but yeah, native instruments is dope for sure me though I just like a dope synth to MPCX that’s about all I need I’m off and running

plying keys or sampling it's all music, some of the biggest hit has both in them, so stop complaining and just make good music, don't be mad at ppl process or creativity , just do you 💯

I quit using loops in 2005 I play everything by hand 4- 8- or 16 bars create separate sequences and then use subtractive editing for breaks hooks intros outros and bridges. Can’t help it it’s my life my workflow and oh yes I love it. Also, even try to make sure that whenever possible even my one shots are customized in some type of way anything from modulation EQ dynamics whatever it is I want whatever I create to be 100% mine!

at first I didn't realise that I had it set to 2x speed and the beat sounded almost like "UK Garage" style .... Dope in both normal and double speed :D
