In this video I show you how easy it is to make a Spelt Sourdough Starter. You just need flour, water and one week. Each day the starter looks a little different and it does not take long for it to start bubbling and smelling sour. Don't worry, that is exactly what we want :) This is the third video of my Spelt Bread Series, the next one coming up soon!
The process:
Day 1 morning
mix 50g spelt with 50g water
Day 2 morning
discard 2/3 (66g)
add 50g spelt with 50g water
Day 3 morning
discard 2/3 (!100g!)
add 50g spelt with 50g water
Day 4 morning
discard 2/3 (100g)
add 50g spelt with 50g water
Day 4 evening!
discard 2/3 (100g)
add 50g spelt with 50g water
Day 5 morning
discard 2/3 (100g)
add 50g spelt with 50g water
Day 5 evening
discard 2/3 (100g)
add 50g spelt with 50g water
Day 6 morning
discard 2/3 (100g)
add 50g spelt with 50g water
Day 6 evening
discard 2/3 (100g)
add 50g spelt with 50g water
Day 7 morning
discard 2/3 (100g)
add 50g spelt with 50g water
