does not work guys, don't waste your time. The vapour stream is just not strong enough to rotate that thing. Tried different water quantities, different materials for the rotating part, does not move an one bit. So frustrating.

Your just not good at building things, or maybe make the nozzle smaller and the turbine smallee

The heat rising directly from the candle would be much more efficient. And someone is obviously blowing it, as it slows down and speeds up again.

Try using an aluminum foil as metal used to make the turbine

It worked. I don't know about you guys but we just did this in school and it worked. Our turbine spun. Wait for the fire to heat up the can until the surface is burnt. The steam will come out. Now, for the turbine, you need to have a nice looking turbine, and make sure that the bended parts are facing the steam. Then, use a glue gun to make the turbine stationary on the steel wire. *The one that will spun is actually not the turbine, but the steel wire.* We did this on one go.

I feel that would only last as long as there is a supply of fresh air feeding into the bottom of the other side of the can

Ok soo i looked into this and yes you can make this work BUT you would need a valve and a thin pipe and let it boild the water to make steam so this video is fake but if you add a valve it would work

@@itisinteresting8339 It's okay. Some people don't know what steam is I guess. Can I ask you though, wouldn't a paddle wheel design be more efficient than the fan blade design? I'm asking because I don't know if you tried that and found some issue with it that I might no be considering. Thank you

@@sumrando9203 I take it you were unaware that steam is an invisible gas. What you see when you see "steam" is actually condensed water vapor. In this case the rotation of the mechanism is causing too much turbulence for the tiny amount of condensed vapor to hang around in amounts large enough to be seen easily. It's perfectly reasonable for you to think that the visible stuff you see is the steam. Almost every time there is steam around we see it so that makes sense. An easy test that you can do at home... Put on a kettle of water and get it going really hot. Once the kettle gets to steaming really well take a closer look. There will be an invisible gap between the kettle outlet and where the "steam" can be seen.

@@goodcitizen3780 I know steam is an invisible gas, I build steam engines for a hobby. This model is bullshit, any steam would rapidly condense into visible water vapor, especially with this model being exposed to the air and a (supposed) self-cooling driver. There is no safety valve on the boiler (if it even works, I would be at a careful distance so that I wouldn't get hurt from the explosion), there is no emergency blowout valve, you need far more heat than a single candle to even generate a reliable source of steam, and I'm sure you didn't miss the absence of any "whistling" noise from the engine. It is a fake powered by a weak motor hot-glued to the back.
