How to Make a Super 8-Point Ninja Star (Compass Star) - Easy

In this tutorial, I will show how to make a super easy 8-point star, I call the Super Compass Ninja Star because it looks like a compass rose when held in a certain position. This is a type of modular origami model that requires 4 units to be interlocked. You'll need only 2 sheets of square paper, which I make from colored printer sheets (8.5x11"). From there, we will create 4 units by tearing the square in half diagonally and making units from the triangles.
Like I say in the tutorial, I recommend making the units smaller by folding the triangles in half, which preserves their shape.

Hey rob, just wanted to say I've always loved your vids ever since I was a child. I grew up watching your butterfly, ninja stars & other origami tutorials. I never knew what your truly were achieving in life. I guess it was ridiculously hard managing school, uni and work at the same time. I'm currently doing my As levels (year 12) and I'm still thinking about my choices. When I was young I attempted to complete every tutorial and try it myself too... never finished the rose (THAT HAD 2 PARTS). I learnt about the Rubriks cube from you too just never bothered to finish one. 2x2 all day anyday. Your not like most youtubers out there, you're straightforward and to the point. I really hope you have the time to read this through. I didn't know how to make a KZbin account 6 years ago so I never could subscribe or like or anything and I'm sorry for that :( I just hope that one I can inspire people like how you did :) been here from the early birds of robh0269 (I remember your brothers/ cousins channel too that had a similar name)
