This definitely would be interesting, however, I was wondering if there are ways to integrate Runic Magick and divination into ceremonial Magick practices. Author Thomas Karlsson has written a book touching on such a union, but I fear that it's too vague and the concepts weren't fully fleshed out and were included as an example of showing how certain Runes can correspond with both Kabbalistic and Qliphothic concepts.

A day before this video was posted, I was browsing through Damien's Instagram and I was observing the talismans. I had this epiphany about exactly what he's explaining here. About the start with the circle, the end with the line and the fact that all this lines where letters. I believe this "a-ha!" moment of mine is correlated to the work we're doing here. Keep doing these practices people! Magick is real in profound way and the insights are endless!

Yes I make talisman for close family or friends as gifts if wanted desired or needed if in a bad time. Never in a negative conitation - just positive; as a gift, to help if applicable or heal or even for no reason just as a charm. My best friends is marrying her true love hence I made one with various things as a simple gift I represent there love and luck u offer for the future. Talisman can be to heal or gift of help anything you intend for the meaning as you cleanse and create. I am overcome by a tremendous amount of sorrow, and heart felt loss, when I have to burn my talisman. I can't help but feel apart if me dies when I burn all that I AM with this talisman. With every breath I take to create this I feel it taken away from me. They are in a room where I do all my "work" invocations, meditation, all of my practices. I guess what should be released in order for it to work I keep and charge so I can feel it work... and when I say feel it's not a emotional attachment but I vibrate and resonate quite profoundly with charged objects. I would love to get someone's feedback on this.. I love traditional practices and like to keep them to it's authentic self however I am at loss when it comes to burning my talisman. Thank you all. What are the characters around the sigil? Are they generic for all talismans like that or is it something more specific for each sigil? If so is it enochian, must it be or can I use another magickal language?

It's called Theban script, it is a substitution cipher where each letter of the alphabet corresponds to a symbol. It is commonly used by Wicca (and many other occult) followers. You can write a word or phrase that solidifies your intention. If you made a talisman for wealth you could write "money" repeatedly. The symbols of your sigils should be used by whatever is meaningful to you and elicits an effective response to your subconscious; some people use Nordic runes as well. Your subconscious works in symbols, so your life experience will play an intimate role in finding what is most useful. In the words of Crowley, let success be thy proof. Your heart will tell you what is correct if you listen closely and stay dedicated. If you're interested in digging into this topic more I would recommend looking into Chaos Magick - one interesting and eccentric fellow who has talked about this topic and its success is a well published comic book writer named Grant Morrison. @@celconicuzn I was wondering that as well. It does appear to be Theban script with some other characters. I made my first talisman yesterday using both the alphabet and language from a video game, along with Futhark Runes. I can't say if it worked, as it's only been 24 hours, but concentrating on making the talisman and using excitatory energy to charge it, then setting fire to it once that energy peaked was a cathartic experience. Unfortunately, I tried doing a ritual dedicated to Jörmungandr later on and it was just draining. I couldn't find the words to speak my invocation, and the intention was just lost. So perhaps I will save the ritual for before creating a talisman.

@@celconicuzn One other source for Chaos Magick I would recommend is a book called Elhaz Ablaze. It's a compendium of Chaos Magick and Heathenry (if that is something that may interest you), but the book has been invaluable to my understanding of using Chaos Magick. Not only that, but the book has many contributors and they all have a unique perspective.

@@dustinjackson4761 My recommendation to you, and I take this idea directly from Damien, is that you want to regularly practice this enough that you will automatically believe it will be successful, no matter the duration of time or the path the energy shall take. It's best to simply let it go and not worry about how it will work or how long it has been since the ritual. This stuff will take plenty of practice to get right but you will hone your own personalized craft over time if you are willing to be instructed. And really, they don't call it "Completing the Great Work" for nothing. You have to repeat these processes and work them out like a muscle in your body. Which means everything from the breathing, to the visualization, to the ability to get into a relaxed state quickly. It's a rocky path, especially when you feel called to certain Pagan Gods/Goddesses, but I would try to make a strong foundation with the elemental archangels: Raphael, Michael, Gabriel and Uriel and their corresponding elemental energies before moving onto Gods and dieties. These Gods can absolutely be contacted but their energy is far more subtle, albeit exceptionally powerful. If you haven't already, start doing the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram daily for at least 3 weeks and hold only the intention in your mind of balancing all of your elemental energies: Air, Fire, Water and Earth. You'll know when you're ready and then tackle some further study. Take some time to study the Qabalistic Tree of Life, and spend some time especially with Netzach. This is the level of consciousness that our ancestors were tapping into when they perceived and worked with the old Gods. There is a really great book Damien often recommends on the topic: Simplified Qabala Magic by Ted Andrews. Personally, I am sure that Odin definitely started me on this path of exploration into spirituality, high magick and all things weird. Odin comes to you with tremendous force to push you in a direction, but he will usually hold your hand. I suspect that this is the same for many other who are drawn to Paganism and the old Gods. I believe that they are waking people up all over the world and reminding them of their human birthright and absolute potential. Your ancestors are smiling on you for taking this path that they once did thousands of years ago. Keep at it.

Why not just use a compass for the circles? In my opinion it is easier to make circles inside of one another with a compass than a circle template, because the pivot point is always the same. Just a personal preference obviously.

In case Damien isn't able to get back to you, I would say that you don't need a loud vibration for it to be powerful or resonate with you. If even a quiet vibration is too much, then you can always try to vibrate words mentally and possibly hum with it. Yes it will work, but you still want to get as close to ideal conditions as life will allow. If the people you live with are okay with meditation, you can just tell them you are doing a mantra meditation, which is true. Best of luck!

​@@mariamdoukoure4403 No problem! I know many (if not all) magickal orders have an age requirement of 18 or 21 years old. For those who are younger, there are many self initiations you can do to deepen your practice. If one can learn meditation at a young age, then why not magick? I see magick and meditation like two sides of the same coin of self discovery. If someone has a yearning to start a practice at a young age, I think that is wonderful :)

While watching this: I remember my grandfather before he died he gave me a talisman on handkerchief. I love the fact you reference Silver Ravenwolf here. Over the years I've heard so much slagging of her from 'serious magickians' and witches alike. But whatever works, works, right? She's not the best writer for me, but even so, I have found use in some of her books; approaches and ideas that I've put into practice and that have helped me. And that's all I really care about. Being in jail (as indeed the vast majority of us are are spiritually and psychologically speaking to one degree or another) you clearly know this one well. Use what you have. There is no perfect formula, sacred text, anicent technique or divine incantation that garuantees results. Don't wait until you've found the magickal holy grail. Apply yourself, and if it works for you, use it.

What’s weird is that I do this naturally without talismans or anything…if I get really angry at someone I will allow myself to feel it fully and then make myself forget about it…the last person I was really angry at that I focused on like this lost everything…home, job, wife and now they are going to prison for a year and a half. I didn’t know what I was doing. I tend to obsess about someone who has done something terrible to me and then I release the anger and really bad things happen to them…But I have to forget about the anger first. I didn’t think this was magick at all. Maybe it’s coincidence. I don’t know.

NIce, no one talks about talismans that much. But I've read a bit on them but really didn't do enough research to start practicing with them yet, want to know more detail and how they work. Thank you. Need something for protection/healing. but a roller ballpoint or the RR pens from the dollar store are great for sliding easily but dries slowly. Do you know a good way to make homemade ink that's pretty thick with consistency? I really like the silver raven wolf I've gotten her book of shadows-solitary witch-very great for quick workings if needed and great for connecting the dots but that's like an encyclopedia/correspondence/almost like a webster for Wicca/witchcraft. wow liked the fact that you see these as batteries, great way to sense it like that.

From what I gather, he uses something like dragons blood ink. There is also bats blood and a few others. They are special herbs that are put into the ink for extra properties. Though you can use your own blood or any herbs/ ink you need which correspond to the energies you wish to work with.

I just wondered if the middle sigil- traditionally done in red to call the attention of angels- can be substituted for other colours.

@@anjierivero256 from what I've learned, that is more than possible. Just look up the colours that correspond with the energies you wish to work with. Magick can basically be tailored in whatever aspect you need. Its all about utilizing aspects that emotionally impact you personally. The more positive emotion and clear intent you can put into your practice the more potent it will be.
