Wanna build one for yourself? I have a template you can download here: drive.google.com/file/d/1YMKg7F5-qFujXyhF_0V8E8w8XvgUGwrn/ Fair warning, I have not tested this template, but I'm pretty sure it's accurate-ish, as long as you're using foam core board. If you use a different material, you may have to make small adjustments on the dimensions. This is intended to be printed at 100% scale on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper.

My mother made gingerbread houses throughout my childhood. As I grew up and started to help (rather than 'help') it evolved into a full on village. It had you classic house, an A shaped grocery store, a manger for our nativity scene, and a church complet with stain glass windows made from melted hard candy. I have many fond memories of turning candy into a variety of scenery. By far my favorite the year she had the idea to shingle the church roof with sliced almonds, but they kept breaking so my mother left 3/4 to me. I can personally attest that he's right ( 4:25 ) it's super soothing.

The little houses in Zelda: Minish Cap! Specifically in the minish village there's a jar that is kind of submerged in water and there's water inside the house with little wooden platforms that the minish lives on! And there's another house there that is a boot surrounded by bioluminescent mushrooms and there's also mushrooms on the inside. Also the sky tower at the end of the game is really pretty! It's a very pretty game. And it's really cool to see how differently the minish live. Like the town minish use stamps and chess pieces as decoration. It's very cute.
