Yeah, I bet flex tape or gorilla tape would give it a little bit of longevity, I'm about to go outside and make me one, you're correct, $20 is stupid for just a round cover, thanks for the idea.

Thanks! It presses up against the bead of the tire to stay in place.

While this is a good idea, the cardboard will degrade very quickly. And will only be effective for a couple of applications.

divemaster 03 I usually make a new one every year, doesn’t take to long. It actually lasts longer than I thought. I probably get about 10-15 uses out of it before it starts come apart. I was thinking about covering it with packing tape to extend the life of it.
