go into channel settings for your 808, go to instrument properties and turn everything down but turn the hold all the way up. now the bass rolls as long as the note does and cuts off when the note does

You use "helpers" (ghost channels) ... On the piano roll screen click on the downward arrow on the top left corner...scroll down to helpers or press "h"...once you open that option go to ghost channels or press "g" ... Or you can simply press alt+v and enable them without doing all that extra stuff. You will only see these ghost channels once you lay out a chord progression or base melody. I use these as guides to insure everything is in key. Very helpful tool. Once I found this I became a lot more efficient! Along with music theory and practice it gets a whole lot easier! Best of luck!

well i been using since i was 12 and now im 19 thats 7 years of experience , i started off crap , but elevated my musik to a extent which was the sound i was looking for , im not into trap music and much , so i decide to make my own style that will resemble me and that name , trust fl studio , you can learn a lot and acheive a lot of potential , i used 2 watch videos and videos , now i can make beats , on the spot and and the go , it became too much easier for me , if you need any help just pm

Vengance is a great sample pack I bought 1000's of drum samples. I also bought Nexus and I use a little bit of Sylenth1. In this tutorial he needs to side chain the 808 with the kick sound they don't over power each other. Just a little mastering tip that he probably just didn't show because it needs explained over a mic really.

go to Options/General then tick Enable Legacy Pattern Block , its in the advanced section at the bottom

Its preset on Nexus 2 Classical/Tapestrings is what i used , and i just my piano notes , and by the way i dont have a actual piano or a keyboard , i use my laptop keyboard as a piano , but that's if you set your fl studio like mine , but other than i got more tutorials on my page , don't forget to check that out and respect.

Bro you could have just right clicked on your kick channels and selected "cut itself", then the 808's wouldn't lap over each other. Idk if you knew that already but it will help your kicks ALOT!

Hey man. Im quite new to FL. I tried following your video, but I got an issue. I managed to make the beats (kicks, snares, hats, etc). When I do the reFX Nexus, the drum beats only plays for the first half of the reFX Nexus but not the second half of the reFX Nexus. I tried changing the beat from 16 to 32, but it still doesnt help. type in refx nexus but in order to download a torrent , download utorrent from utorrent . c o m , so bk to pirateproxy.se download refx nexus and install it once its installed it will be in in program files in a folder called vst , so bk to fl studio , load a new project , and were u see kick and clap and snare etc . right click and click replace then you see a bunch of vst's , go all the way to he top where it says "more" and click that , then click refresh , once thats that done you will see nexus in a red font , and their will be a a tick box next to it and so so clik that , now to use this vst if you dont all those step correctly , u just simply right click then replace and you will see the name nexus and click it and it shud work , by the way this applies to everyother vst to , to get started on nexus is simple , in the middle u have folders and sounds , click on the right lets piano , then on the right will be the presets , say if i clicked nexus grandpiano , and i pressed a not on a keyboard or you have enable keyboard on fl studio so you can use your pc keyboard , you will hear the sounds , hope this guide will help you (Y)
