Absolutely a gorgeous ring, but it would be nice to know the gauge of the wire and approximately how long the peices should be.... There's a lot of us bigginers out here.....

Wow, I bought exactly such a beautiful ring this year on vacation in Amsterdam. I wear it every day, it is really very nice and interestingly designed, because the chain on the ring rotates. I'm glad I found his making on KZbin, thanks for sharing…💕💕💕

Coarse tooth file and fine sandpaper. I melt and make them all myself, you can see them in other videos. I usually make silver. Copper for video shooting.

You are asking about the thickness of the teels, I think it is 90 microns. I use silver and bronze

my idea would be to braid copper and silver wires as you show. And then crush them in a press so that the whole becomes flat, then start from this base to create a ring. Do you think the braided design would stand out?@@nedjewelryworkshop

Beautiful work. I was hoping you tell us the materials used instead of just copper and silver, as well as the measurements, diameter of the wire and the other two pieces of silver (I assume they were silver lol), I'd love to make one myself I have all the tools. oh and what kind of solder was that? I'm assuming it was silver solder. had to edit, I forgot to ask what you used to pickle the ring?
@nedjewelryworkshop
@nedjewelryworkshop 7 ай бұрын
First of all, thank you. Yes, the ones I use are silver and bronze, the thickness of the wires is 90 microns, the material used to combine them is silver solder. You should put 50% brass metal into silver.
@rewalston
@rewalston 6 ай бұрын
@@nedjewelryworkshop I'm not exactly clear on your last sentence (You should put 50% brass metal into silver.) Also, the flat ring bases how thick are those. I'm assuming 5mm wide but don't know the thickness. Also before you twist your wires how long should the individual wires be before twisting?
@nedjewelryworkshop
@nedjewelryworkshop 6 ай бұрын
To prepare silver solder, you need to melt 5 grams of brass metal with 10 grams of silver. A base width of 9mm would be nice. The length of the wires is 12-13 cm.

Never mix metals. When you do electrolytic corrosion occurs. In other words, when two different metals are in contact with each other in the presence of moisture, there will be a flow of current from one metal (the “anode”) to the other metal (the “cathode”), and one will be eaten away, or disintegrated, while the other (the “cathode”) will remain intact. The current can also cause negative health effects.
