In this week's video we take a look at one of my favorite tiki drinks to make at home, the Top Notch Volcano bowl, which I got from this book: www.amazon.com/Smugglers-Cove-Exotic-Cocktails-Cult/dp/1607747324.
Here's the Recipe:
4 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
4 oz. pineapple juice
1 oz. passion fruit puree (link below)
3 oz. demerara syrup (2 parts demerara or turbinado sugar/1 part water)
1 oz. Maraschino Liqueur
4 oz. Blended lightly aged rum
4 oz. Blended aged rum
Add all ingredients to blender along with about 12 oz. of crushed ice. Add 3 or 4 agitator ice cubes and pulse 4 or 5 times. Pour contents of blender into bowl and garnish with a crouton or piece of toast soaked in lemon extract. Light on fire and (carefully) serve.
