Me wanting to make this: sure I can do this! My fear of sewing machines: …..

This is so cute! Would it be possible to make without a sewing machine?
@BeeZeeArt7 жыл бұрын
Yes, as long as you top sew with little, even stitches for the fin areas. Otherwise stuffing might still poke through between the stitches and make them look kind of funny. I'd probably use a backstitch for the body sewing.

For me its possible, my sewing machine doesn't work, but still hand-sew whales!

I don't know if you'll be able to answer, but I'd like to know for my own shark pattern/plush I might end up making: What's the different between making the fins separate and sewing them into the seam versus making them a part of the face and just sewing a straight line to make them look separate from the rest of the body? Is it just to keep the pattern simple? Thanks! EDIT: Nvm, I just watched one of your most recent videos where you said you don't tend to answer comments. But I guess it doesn't matter too much, I'm gonna guess it's just for simplicity purpose. :)

Yeah, I don't answer comments often on KZbin (as seen by this 2 month later reply). I'm just not on KZbin often except when I'm posting a new video. I sew them like this just because it's easier and less time consuming for me personally, there's not much difference in the final product. Plus there's no chance I'll mess up and sew a fin on the wrong way which is something I'd do haha.

You’ll need to print it as a poster; but the template and open in adobe reader; print; poster, increase from 100% to 200%(random example can use whatever one you like) and print:) just remember to only select the template pages and not the instructions!!
