I from Louisiana , just found Team Wing bone on You Tube. Really enjoy your turkey hunting video's . Made wing bone with turkey i killed about 3 year's ago and starting use them my self. They work awesome on turkey's . I made a wing bone with a jake , it sounds better and easy to blow the ones I made big gobbler's

I love your style and the history of your calls and your family. Ole Pa Pa passed down some deadly, turkey killing information. The right gobbler bones work well for your mouthpiece as well. Sometimes a Jake will have a smaller ID than an old hen.

Guys I love yalls hunts and enjoyed this. My only question is , what keeps the hen bone from coming back out of the cork? Looks like you’d loose it. Thanks fellas

Glad you enjoyed!! The end that goes through the cork is the largest part of the bone so once it is inserted the cork conforms back and if never pulled back out it will not fall out. However over time maybe 10-15 years the cork seems to deteriorate and shrink. At that point we have to replace the cork.

They are usually 6.5” to 7” long.

Wonderful video! I see you stated that you let them dry out ? Do you boil them first, then dry them out or, let them dry out naturally, no boiling then cut the ends and clean out ? I noticed the Patina is that from the oil from the bone? Looks great. I hit your subscribe button and greatly appreciate your videos

It is best to cut the ends, clean out and then let them dry. They usually turn yellow with age. Hindleg’s wingbone is stained from skoal 🤢

Greetings TWB ! My question during your wing bone making, I believe you use, the bone of a Tom, hen? With cork, if no hen bone available ok to use tom? When adding the cork plug, I don’t see how it’s inserted? Do you cut it down to fit? Again great videos !! Keep them coming. Oh do you still store PAPA wing bone call in a WWII mess kit? When it’s not being displayed ..

We use only the gobbler bone for the bottom part of the wingbone and only the hen bone for the top.. we have found using two gobbler bones does not have the same sound. you are correct inserting the cork, cut it to fit and be careful not to break the big gobbler bone… Regarding pawpaw’s wingbone, we carry it on every hunt in a small crush proof case-- Lol.
