I started to build the home page as instructed until 48:10 using a 27' monitor. Then I tried to visualize it in a 16' monitor and all layout was completely messed up. It doesn't adjust accordinly on its on. The CSS code he tell to insert doesn't make any difference in this regard. I got really discouraged to follow the rest of the tutorial.

You change the font to Jost often. Wouldn't it be better/ easier to change the default font to Jost so it is "pulled" into all modules automatically? And in general, and I'm just learning all this myself, is it possible to set up a basis for colors, typography, etc. so that when modules are added and you go to change colors for instance, the color palette of your website is ready and waiting as those primary color pickers (like not having to soften the black with transparency all the time) and you can just select the "soft-black", because it is part of the palette? I guess what I'm asking is, isn't there a way to set up a basis/ default of the design which allows for designing the site even quicker? Do it once and it is available everywhere?

Definitely possible with modules presets, some customizer options and a bit of custom CSS variables. Also you are right it would be way easier to set the fonts once in the customizer... you know that would be like professionals WP web designer do... 😅

I wish they would put a bit more effort into the EXTRA theme and make it fully and interchangeably usable with DIVI which is NOT the case. E.g. if I want a DIVI full size slider in a 1 row section, I cannot put the EXTRA modules below in a 2nd section with the sidebar starting there. I love some features of the EXTRA theme and DIVI of course, I only wish they would do more for blogging and create more stunning blog layout templates for DIVI AND EXTRA.

Hey, yes you can. While in your WP Dashboard go to Divi > Theme Customizer > General Settings > Typography > Header Font / Body Font

Just following the demo and when he applies the background color and image on the home page it filled in the whole background. even behind the header bar where the menu is.. When i do it the header and menu remain as a white background. Not sure what I'm missing.
