I wish I would have been watching KZbin and this especially. I made several for my sister. She didn't like those with a plastic back. I had binding and sew on velcro in her sewing basket so used those. your instructions are great, even those with minimal sewing experience should be able to have a great finished item...

Thanks for the video. Do you see any reason why I couldn't use the same idea for a baby and maybe use a finger tip towel? Of course my template would have to be very small, but otherwise????
@diana10963 жыл бұрын
This is awesome. How do I make them for toddlers? I understand the sewing part and snap just wondering about the sizing. Should I use handtowels or tea towels instead?
@SynnovesHome3 жыл бұрын
Hi Diana...a hand towel and tea towel are about the same size...I think for comfort around the neck ( I am thinking about bulk ) a tea towel would be more comfortable for a toddler BUT... I personally think a tea towel isn't as absorbent as a hand towel....I personally would use a hand towel but double and triple check ...so the fit is not to tight around the neck while eating...In short I guess I am saying I would leave more room around the neck part then an adult bib because of the bulk.....Thanks so much for watching!
@diana10963 жыл бұрын

Well, I just made my first bib and it's choking him! Not sure what to do, but I need an extra 1-2" around the neck. Any suggestions appreciated.
@SynnovesHome2 жыл бұрын
Hello Doro… I would cut the entire seam around the neck right off the fold it over and make another seam exactly how you did it the first time this should give you about another inch around the entire neck.. if that makes any sense.. it’s a very simple fix and should work.. good luck!

@fotosnaps19 жыл бұрын
+Patricia Brannan If you have old shirts you can do this and any left over string or thin fabric can be made into to tie on instead of snap. With flexible material, it can slip on over their head. My Mother doesn't have a problem with these. I haven't tried the Velcro idea because I was worried about it being scratchy or catch in my Mother's hair plus the edges are hard to work with needles in hand sewing so I opted for the string version.
