A regular printer will work too. Not only sublimation printer. There's a lady on youtube that did it like 5 years ago before sublimation was a thing using a regular printer. I will post her name here for those who dont want to use that sublimation ink and transfer paper. Be back shortly

If you use spray adhesive you can stick the strips of ribbon to the paper without cutting the paper in strips....then pull the ribbon off and cut them apart.

So you spray the paper with the design then lay the ribbon on each column of dedign? Does the adhesive spray interfere with the quality/clarity of the finished product?

Look up a hot knife as alternative to the ribbon cutter ! 😉

Great video. You can use pinking shears to cut the ribbon and stop the fraying. If yo don’t have pinking shears you purchase a pinking blade for your rotary cutter

Does the satin ribbon edges or border get covered with transfer tape or the borders are free? If they’re free then will they get dirty vs the part that is covered

It is faster to use templates in Microsoft Word and u essentially make a grid and that is what I use to vut them out so they r all one size and super easy to just make one and copy and paste. I then have each page a different tag and u can sub it to the ribbon. Great job.

Great vid… so I have a ribbon printer and your can purchase ribbon specifically for thermal (that’s the type of printing the ribbon printer uses) printing. I have used that same ribbon for sublimation printing to make full colour labels for clients and it works out stunning. It’s called poly satin ribbon. It is really smooth so the print comes out clearer, which is perfect for small detail. Look for poly satin ribbon for thermal print and try it out, may be something you prefer. xox

I can't remember from this video what method I used but I use photoshop now to edit my tags and to print them and I am able to do a lot more.
